Alphonce Albinusy
PRIVATE GUIDE & SAFARI PLANNER
“What reason should I give the world to remember my name?”
Hailing from the northern region of Tanzania, Alphonce didn’t initially look beyond his family’s traditional roots. Yet, his deep love for wildlife led him to forge a path as a safari guide, where he found his true calling. Today, Alphonce is dedicated to creating memorable, transformative experiences for his guests while actively supporting wildlife conservation and promoting sustainable ecotourism.
With over eight years of guiding experience across Tanzania’s iconic safari destinations, Alphonce’s journey began at Tarangire National Park as a camp-based guide, where he became an expert on this remarkable landscape. He then moved on to AndBeyond Klein’s Private Concession, located at the border of Serengeti National Park and Maasai Mara. His work with Serengeti Under Canvas—a mobile camp following the Great Migration—allowed him to immerse himself in the Serengeti, gaining an in-depth knowledge of its landscapes and wildlife.
Alphonce has also guided in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and served as a lodge-based guide in Ngorongoro Crater. Eventually, he settled in the Serengeti, making it his home base, where he spends his time between the northeastern and central Serengeti as well as other pristine wilderness areas in Tanzania. With extensive time in the field, Alphonce has pursued his passions for wildlife photography, guided walking adventures, and storytelling.
One of Tanzania’s few highly qualified walking safari guides, Alphonce is an enthusiastic wildlife photographer and an avid storyteller. He loves meeting people from around the world, sharing his knowledge, and providing guests with an unforgettable look at Tanzania’s stunning natural beauty.
